They are really fucking good, and were with Ward too. When you pare it back to this -- an offensive leader and a bunch of guys that know their roles -- it's really impressive.
What have you heard about Ward's health? Does he play in two weeks?
I know nothing on Ward. They need him back if they are going to have a successful postseason run. They can possibly finish out the big ten on top, but you can't rely on Winston to do that all the time like they did Sunday.
It might be almost perfect timing for you to get him back for the post-season but not the Michigan game. I may go back and watch last year's games, but IIRC they did not switch all screens last year when he was on the bench.Do you? Hard to imagine a game against M in which they adjust the defense depending on whether he's in. You see teams decide at halftime or something to switch all screens, but not within the flow of a game.
Accepted ...... I don't know shit about Basketball so, I too should know my role and STFU.
I still think the MSU B-Ball loss, in the context that I was referring to it, was a terrible loss for the team. Probably not on the scale of the football loss to osu but still ...... it hurts the basketball team; it shouldn't have happened and the reasons for it have been thoroughly discussed.
Bottom line: I hate it when any Michigan sports team loses to it's traditional rivals. I fret about trends when it keeps happening and it does with regularity. IMO, and on many levels, M cannot afford to have it's rivals gain these kinds of advantages; gain an edge. Especially MSU/Izzo and osu/meyer (now day) ....... same for M's other sports teams - just with a different impact. On balance, though, these kinds of losses just takes the polish off the apple of success - a term Michigan has touted as fostering among it's student athletes for a long time.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
You really should. Or get some facts. You don't need to know very much about the sport to know that this game elevates Cassius Winston's record against Michigan to 2-3. Don't need to know anything at all about it to have enjoyed it when we sent the Columbus Tweet-Deleters home with their panties in a bunch. Please don't bring football nonsense into the basketball thread.
The great thing about basketball is you get the next game to redeem yourself. There's no trend other than both programs are now consistent top 10 programs.

Look, M sports collectively is now and has been since its existence, the front porch to the U. Don't let rivals take a shit on it ..... and frankly, professor, the entire forum, regardless of thread specifics, should be open to the free expression of thoughts and ideas. But I'll take your instructions to me into account in the future by ignoring them completely.

Well I agree with that completely. Keep posting. Early and often, and do not be deterred if half the forum is politely calling you stupid. The forum thrives on the free expression of thoughts and ideas. If you're tempted to watch the games, or familiarize yourself with the basic facts and narrative about the basketball team's recent performance, please remember that this is not necessary.

M should return everyone but Matthews with Iggy being a potential early entry depending on whether he's okay with being a second rounder...
McQuad & Goins will graduate but they might not lose anyone else. Both are big pieces but Sparty has depth if everyone else returns; Ward, Winston, & Lankford look like deep 2nd round types and Izzo rarely has those types leave early.
Looks like it to me too. The same logic applies to Ward and Winston as applies to Matthews, but I don't know the vibe around the State players in terms of what they are thinking. MSU has young talent too, but I don't know if those players are seen as ready to step in yet.

Good sass, Hack.
"...... do not be deterred if half the forum is politely calling you stupid."
I haven't seen that poll. Gotta link? Fact based assertions are important on this board.
I thought my post brought up an interesting question the answer I freely admitted I didn't know. Might have been a bit naive but not stupid.
WM, then talent were both kind enough to provide an informative response without snark and from talent THAT WAS surprising. From you, OTH, I learned once again not to answer questions you post (why didn't I watch the game?). They're just bait.
