I missed the first half, but it seemed Purdue was pretty determined to take away transition opportunities? Certainly in the second half the Sparty comeback was just as much luck as it was anything else. Purdue had good looks that didn't fall; Winston had that four-point play on which a blocked 3-point shot went in. Then again, they were unlucky fouling Eastern. He got in rhythm at the line after some lucky bounces. Still, they're a really good team and our games against them will be titanic battles. They'll be daring Z to shoot and fouling him with 3 minutes left on the clock.

Purdue was shitting themselves on offense for about 6 straight minutes, it was a really stupid time to start the hack-a strategy. Glad it backfired on the dbag.

He definitely loves to put bad free throw shooters on the line. Simpson knows that, and hopefully will be ready. In this case it was particularly odd because they had Edwards contained beautifully. I thought that otherwise Purdue was getting reasonable looks that just weren't falling.
