Wisconsin presents a great opportunity for that as well. Their scheme is not designed to beat that at all, they are sitting ducks because they won't spread the field, do much misdirection or quick slants or basically anything you need to do to combat that.

Yeah, I think we've seen that Chryst is sort of a one trick pony. His scheme has worked fine v. average defenses like the ones he faces in the West and mostly faces OOC. But that style got badly exposed on Saturday by an elite M defense. The road map to stuff what has heretofore been an almost unstoppable juggernaut of a run game is getting pressure in the Badger backfield at all costs and when that doesn't work every down, limit the damage. It helps when the Wisconsin opponent has a decent offense to take advantage because it does not appear Chryst has a clue on how to play from behind nor does he have a reliable QB that can facilitate it.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. During the game Herbstreit mentioned Chryst told them there wasn't going to be a lot of trickery or something to that effect. I thought to myself that you are coming to a gunfight with a knife. If you don't do anything to stop that Michigan defense from running downhill on you, you are done.Comment

We are late in creating a set of CFB tiers. It's not too late though.
