Took a lot of things for Cincy to go there way; DPJ picked up the botched punt; that resulted in a TD for Cincy with the help of a suspect PI call...
Grant Perry caught that ball on M's last possession, ruled incomplete... Harbaugh had a 4th and half a yard yet he chose to punt it, on the 2nd to last possession... Fumbled hand-off to Crawford killed another drive... 1st & goal at the 3, resulted in just 3 points...
M is killing themselves, lots of blame to go around; offensive line, receivers, QB, Harbaugh playing it conservative and even a couple judgement calls by officials favored Cincy.

That harbaugh punted on 4th and inches? If he had any caught that his QB could execute a simple handoff properly, he probably leaves the offense out there.
I get the denial. There's no other option so if Speight is a bust Michigan is a bust as far as the playoffs go. Better to just believe this is just a bad dream and the kid will magically put it together soon.Last edited by Kstat; September 9, 2017, 01:10 PM.

You understand football is a team game?
For Speight to complete a pass, it takes the center to snap the ball to him, the receivers to run their routes, the offensive line to block their men without holding, the running back to pick up the blitz, the receiver needs to create separation from whose covering them, receiver has to catch the ball and the official needs to call a catch, an actual catch...
Just one of these things going wrong results in a drive the stalls out instead of getting in the end zone.
Put yeah, let's put all the blame on Speight since that fits your belief that O'Korn is much better and the solution to all the offenses issues.

2 O'Korn sucks, but feel free to hug on to that straw man like a nice warm blanket...

It's sad when you're envious of the QB on a mid major school. And he has a pick six.
But you know what? He can complete simple out routes. He can run without tripping over himself. He doesn't look like a deer in the headlights despite getting hammered on every other throw.
But I'm sure the well oiled machine that is the Cincinnati Bearcats just makes him look better...Last edited by Kstat; September 9, 2017, 01:18 PM.
