  • I hope he's well. Glad to hear he's out and about around the games, and he's of course welcome back here, along with all those others.

    • I forgot, why did he leave in the first place? And Optimus Prime? Who else? Seems like a lot of people have dropped out of here.

      • Just don't give him his mod buttons back...

I?m disappointed in the results for this team. Not necessarily that they lost 4 games, as I was expecting a bit of a down year. I?m disappointed in how they got there, looking largely incompetent on offense any time they took the field against a good opponent. And racking up a shit-ton if penalties.

Harbaugh is still the man for the job, but its going to take more than enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
Well said. The flags are really frustrating, and too many were self-inflicted. Missed assignments, dropped passes, etc. etc. At quite a few times this year they just looked like a poorly-coached team. Not against OSU, but certainly at other times.

Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson, native of Toledo Ohio, and the top QB from the 2016 recruiting class, was rumored to be in attendance in Ann Arbor on Saturday, .. and may be considering a transfer to Michigan. The story goes that if Ole Miss's NCAA punishment will allow transfers and immediate eligibility at another school that Patterson will likely transfer to Michigan.
That's interesting if Patterson is eligible immediately. I'd rather have an offensive tackle, but still.

            • What about all the qb recruits. Tranfers are nice sometimes but I would rather they bring one of their young ones along.

              • Dylan McCaffrey... he is going to be the starting QB next September.
                That is exciting enough.

                • It is disturbing that the "QB whisperer" may be bringing in his third transfer, especially when he has five QBs already on board (and now apparently three of UM's top pick QBs since he's been there are or will transfer out.

                  • On Shea Patterson ....... other sites are reporting muted expectations for a Patterson transfer. Patterson is a perfect fit for Harbaughffense. His people reportedly think there are better options for him to play right away.

QB transfers in general ..... Patterson is a good fit for Harbaughffense and if he comes, it will fit JH's competitive meritocracy approach to playing time. In that context, transfers make sense, esp. at the QB position.

I don't see QB transfers as disturbing with respect to the QB whisperer thing. See above. I also think that what we're seeing from the QB play is not necessarily a reflection of Harbaugh's QB coaching skills as it is misses like O'Korn. JH minced no words regarding JOK's play last Satruday. I suspect he is kicking himself for that one.

..... and yes, OTs. It seems there's a need. That we don't hear news of the staff trying to get transfers, I guess, says something about their view of the current roster. There's been some good posts about what the 2018 OL will look like at mgoboard from posters with cred. Most has been positive on the upcoming OL guys. Also, I don't see that there would be a big market for transfer OTs, except maybe from schools facing HC changes. If a 4th or 5th year OT is good enough, I'd suspect he'd be headed for the draft.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                    • I'm not disturbed about it either. QBs transferred out at Stanford too. If Peters transfers, then it's a worry. He swung and missed on O'Korn. That doesn't change what he did for Rudock and Speight last year.

                      • Speight’s exit interview makes me happy he’s gone. Came off very entitled when his resume certainly don’t warrant it. Didn’t want to compete for the QB job next year. He doesn’t belong at Michigan if that’s what he wants.

                        • This season shows you not only need talent at the QB position but talented depth too. Just a game manager QB, M beats Sparty, is a coin flip vs OSU & Wisconsin.

                          • Agree on that, but also happy to see Sp8 go. His Family wearing 'Thank you Brady Hoke' shirts in the stands Saturday was shade on Harbaugh or notice that he was leaving or both?

                            • The more I see, the more I think that something went wrong in the Michigan locker room during the off season. Not as bad as RichRod '08 or Sparty last year, but something went wrong nonetheless.

Good point. Harder to interpret it as anything else, isn't it? Obviously the decision to leave probably wasn't an impulsive one. He knew.
