I don't want to get into the lame defense of this stuff happening everywhere, but I will say that in light of the topic post Harvey Weinstein that some of the responses by institutions are going to look worse in retrospect. That goes for MSU, the NCAA, etc... There is no getting around that, I think the MSU response was probably worse 10 years ago that it was last year. I think the 4 guys who got kicked off last year for sexual assault were dealt with more appropriately than maybe some case in 2010. There is a chance they were immediately expelled.

It is up to that independent investigation to find out what went on
