      With all this talk about Speight becoming the starting QB, I'm getting excited about seeing the game. I want to see how well he plays.

                    Sorry guys. You're not going to ruin my enthusiasm for the beginning of the season.

                    I'm anxious to see how Speight plays, if he's indeed the starter. I don't recall making any predictions of grandeur or failure for him. I just want to see him play.

                          If Harbaugh says Speight is the best we've got, then he's the best we've got.

                          Unfortunately, I think that means he's the best we've got.

                            It will be hard to get an accurate read on Speight until he plays against a decent defense. I hope O'Korn plays enough in the first three games to get a comparison.
