  • Yes.

But getting Yamamoto is the real prize and he wants to play with other Japanese players. Maeda makes signing Yamamoto at least a possibility. It will take $ 200 million to get Yamamoto, so don't hold your breath.

    • I would give Yamamoto 243/9 year deal with opt outs after year 4 and 7.

Add Jordan Hicks to a 30/3 deal.

Then make a deal for Jorge Polanco.

        • Sounds like the Dodgers nearly signed over the pink slip to the team to get him.

            • For $700 million, he should pitch, hit, play a position, clean the stadium, and work the ticket booth.

Just think of the money he will garner for the team. In merch and attendance alone is worth that much in the first three years. I mean, the name will get them muchos mulla for many years. The Japanese market loves him too. All their games are telecast over their.

And $68million/yearly is deferred. Ohtnai (and this was his idea) wanted to defer money so they could be as competitive as possible during that time.

Dodgers resigned RHP Joe Kelly right before Ohtani. Kelly will be a solid piece of their bullpen.

Then last night they dealt for RHP Tyler Glasnow and OF Manuel Margot. They gave Glasnow 110/4 year extension (he was due 25 million this year and still will get that amount). Margot will probably platoon with Heyward in RF.

The Tigers signed LHP Andrew Chafin to a 4.75 million/1 year contract. THe Tigers will hold a 2025 team option on him for 6.5 million

The Tigers also signed RHP Jack Flaherty to 14 million/1 year contract (with 1 million in incentives)
