Apropos of nothing. I am probably the only one here who remembers the 1981 Braves. Not a great team, but probably one of the most interesting group of personalities ever.
Pitching, you had Phil Niekro, Gaylord Perry, Tommy Boggs, Gene Garber, Bob Walk, Rick Mahler, Steve Bedrosian, and Al “The Mad Hungarian” Hrabosky.
In the field you had Chris Chambliss, Bob Horner (on the corner), Glenn Hubbard, Dale Murphy, Rafael Ramirez, Claudell Washington, Eddie Miller, Brett Butler, Biff Pocoroba, and a few others.
What an interesting group of characters. If there were a god, this group of bad news bears woulda won it all.

I would absolutely get into a street fight with the 1981 Braves pitching staff behind me. You just know Niekro had a hidden gun strapped to his ankle and Gene Garber and Gaylord had razor blades hidden in the brim of their caps."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
