  • If the Pistons win the lottery, they'll be ok. I guess, in theory, you an build out a solid team with draft picks. You need someone elite to win a title, but you can certainly get to playoff caliber.

The Tigers have a much longer slog, I'd reckon.

But in 2023, I think the Pistons will end up being slighly worse. They'll definitely have the worst record in the NBA, and 65 losses is just horrific and they'll almost certainly get that.

    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

It could make for an interesting September when they'll be on pace to break that 119 loss mark.

They might even have a tie in for the 26.5th Anniversary of the Wings brawling with the AVs AND maybe even exhume Ernie Harwell to call a few innings when they go for loss #120.

      • Braves sweep the Cards in St. Louis. 5-1 on the year, all on the road. We host the Pods for a 4-game set starting tomorrow and then the Reds for 3 games before flying to KC for a stand on the 14th.

          • Probasbly heard but the A's are almost certainly heading to Vegas now

Oakland A's agree to purchase land near Las Vegas Strip (espn.com)

The A's are an interesting franchise that historically fluctuate between extreme highs and extreme lows. When times get tough they pick up and leave town. I hope they keep the green & yellow

            • I’ve always hated the A’s but anything that hastens the destruction of the Oakland Coliseum is a positive for mankind.

              • The issue is Oakland makes Beirut look like a garden spot and San Francisco is becoming unlivable. With the societal issues and leadership, I can’t fault the A’s. It wouldn’t shock me if the Giants, 49ers, and Sharks haven’t considered relocating.

                • I know there is a group in San Antonio trying to get NFL/MLB and I know Houston has tried to get their foot in the door with the NHL. Wouldn’t shock me and I couldn’t blame them in the coming years if some of the Bay Area teams, that can, leave.

The Warriors hopped across the Bay from Oakland to San Fran just a couple years ago to a fancy new arena. They aren't going anywhere for a while. Neither are the Giants IMO.

The 49ers no longer play anywhere close to downtown SF. They may as well be renamed the San Jose 49ers. I don't think San Jose and the ritzy southern Bay suburbs have become San Francisco in terms of homelessness and street crime or at least not that I've heard of.

But as for Oakland it looks like they're losing all 3 of their pro teams in less than a decade.

The Rays are the first team that comes to mind for me as a team that could be looking for a new home. Shitty stadium with no real hope of getting a new one. Attendance routinely near the bottom of the league despite having a pretty good product for 15 years now.

                          • The Niners were looking for years to move and they moved to a lemon of a stadium. The Giants have an amazing stadium, why would they leave. The Warriors are never leaving , they make so much money in the new stadium. It's tech bros everywhere spending obscene amounts of money.

                            • The entire Bay area should be firebombed and eradicated...that would be a good start...then work on south to LA...

                              • That would be devastating for the US economy, California is by far the most important state economically to the country. Nebraska, not as important.
