Yep, and halted play again after less than an inning. Utter moroniots.

It's frustrating because unlike in my childhood, when they were absolute garbage, Cleveland's been a really well-run franchise for the better part of 30 years now. They do well with limited resources.

      • Kinda like the Buffalo Bills of the early 90’s.

        • Before yesterday, the Braves had lost 10-straight post season game 1’s. And, to be honest, yesterday’s win was a miracle. The Reds had a number of innings where they had runners in on 2nd or third with only 1 out (and a few times with zero outs).

“Cincinnati loaded the bases in the 11th inning against reliever Darren O'Day, but Tyler Matzek struck out Mike Moustakas to end the inning. They had runners on the corners with no outs in the 12th before Matzek struck out the next three batters. They had the bases loaded with one out in the 13th and failed to punch home a run.”

In a 3-game series, a game 1 loss is horrible.

          • Today Atlanta Braves right-hander Ian Anderson and Cincinnati Reds righty Luis Castillo take the hill.

I like Anderson a lot. Hopefully, he has a good day. He needs to go deep.

Hate the empty stands and an 11am first pitch - especially with a spent bullpen.

            • Welp, it's 3-0 Bravos bottom of the eighth. Bull-pen?
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                • Braves advance to the NLDS after beating the Reds 5-0. Back-to-back shut out wins.

                          • I don’t really care who wins the Cubs-Marlins series, but I want it to go three games. So, go Cubbies (today, anyway).

Of course, the NL champ will be the Dodgers. And the GD Yankees (because Yankees) or the cheatin’ Astros will probably win the AL. Yeah, the Rays are probably the best team, but they are still the Rays.

                              • Oh, I would. My toss you out motion is legendary. I would warn both benches at the first close pitch and by the 5th inning, the 3rd base coach and the ball boys would have to be in the lineup.
