  • I was at a game last year where the game lasted over three hours, it ended 3-2 or 2-1 in that game the Tigers had three hits and failed to hit one ball to the warning track. The pitch clock is definitely going to help on that shit. The Tigers are on another rebuild after this last 7 year rebuild netted bubkus. They are 5 years away unless the cheapo owner spends money, which he won't.

    • I though The Roar had some nice younger positional players. And pitching that would make little baby Jack Morris weep.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
      Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

It's like the good old days again. The 90's.

        • Wait? Nothing is better than spending a nice Detroit April evening at Comerica with 276 like-minded Chuckletwats.

          • Somewhere in that frostbitten stadium there's a little kid that's suffering through sleet and cold crazy bread to watch Javier Baez strike out. That's the poetry of baseball.

OMG, I never saw that before but that’s what every Red Sox - Yankees game feels like.

              • Jim Leyland could've finished a cigarette in the time it takes that fucker to throw the damn ball.

I haven't seen these positional players, the pitching should be serviceable. They have Riley Green and Spencer Torkelson and Tork so far can't hit a major league fastball (not an good sign). They led the spring with homers, so we got that going for them.

Allegedly this new guy Harris is a smart GM and he is going to turn around the farm system. About every 5 years you hear some pronouncements of the Tigers changing their developmental system and you never see any fruits from these labors.

                  • The Tigers did a fan survey and coming out of that survey they are starting games at 6:40. This was determined before spring training. With 2 1/2 hour games, the games are going to be done by 9:15.

                      • Tiggers lost at TB today 4-0. Off to a great start.

They won't be in Comerica for another week yet. Probly a good thing. It might be in the 50's by then.

I'll probly waste a couple hundo on them this year and take in a game. But, its going to be in warmer weather.

Why would it cost you that much unless you are staying overnight at a hotel.

                            • After you buy two decent tickets where you can actually see the names on their shirts, pay for parking, buy a beverage and a brat, and pay for gas to and from Detroit, its going to kick $200 in the nads.

I wouldn't even think of spending a night in downtown Detroit. I wouldn't even stay anywhere in Wayne County.

Parking shouldn't be that bad if you are willing to take the Q-Line (which is free I believe). Parking at Wayne State is $12 max. Detroit is actually a pretty safe city. I never felt unsafe in the 5.5 years I lived there, especially downtown.
