  • Look for Tottenham to find a way to beat ManU, also.

    • I think I could just spew out made up British (and ridiculous) sounding placenames and still participate in this discussion.

And Bledington is favored to beat Tittsford-on-Sea and the Shrewsbery Cherries might upset the Umberton Harrow Bilge-Pumps and they'll all enjoy a bowl of cock-a-leekie soup after the match.

Man City was always going to beat Arsenal. This is their time of the year when they never drop EPL points and find some way to inexpliably lose in the CL.

Newcastle-Everton will be an uncomfortable battle. Everton is fighting for their lives.

I'm not sure Spurs can pick themselves up after the debacle at St. James, but I assume they're return to a 4-3-3 for the entire 90 and ManU is a little thin in the midfield, though, if Bruno G's exhibition on Sunday is at all portentious, Casemiro should be all ManU needs to control the match.

But, yeah--I sort of like Spurs to at least scrap to a draw.

It's ManU, Liverpool and Newcastle for 2 CL spots. That pretty much dictates my rooting interest.

                • Newcastle has to deal with Shite McNeil who has been energized by Sean Dyche. If the Toffees go down, they immediately have to repay a 170 million dollar loan while they are trying to build a new stadium and fjght FFP charges. It's dire for Everton.

                  • Oh, they're in trouble. They have a couple 6-pointers left and they need both those and probably one more. But they're so bad at scoring goals it's hard t see them getting enough. I'd be disappointed if NUFC concedes more than 1 to that shit team. Hopefully NUFC can get at least 2.

And, yes, if they go down they are in a world of hurt in the Championship.

Anyway, it's the EPL and the only team that's really bulletproof on the road -- at least during the run-in -- is fucking City. Anyone else could easily drop points on the road, so a full 3 would be massive for NUFC.

                    • Yeah, they barely stayed up last year and it was mainly Richarlisson dragiing their ass out of the drop like Jimmy Buckets. I think Newcastle needs to try the Europa League next year.

                      • NUFC's current side will get grouped in the CL. Bruno and Isak are pretty much irreplaceable in terms of higher level success and that just won't be enough depth for the CL. In particular, the attack is thoroughly pedestrian w/o Bruno (they have strikers, but none that finish like Isak). However, the beloved Saudis will certainly reinforce the side if they make the CL, and English football is pretty stout, so they'll have a chance if they can pip Liverpool or ManU for the 4th spot.
