And, of course, Ohio State ranks as the #16 Public University per USNWR 2022-23 (https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges...ies/top-public). That's ahead of everyone in the B10 except nFw (private) and M, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Speaking of On3, I only recently have seen their stuff popping up. Is it a new site or something rebranded? They don't seem very credible on much of anything. Earlier I looked up the portal rankings because I know Michigan is doing well there and came across their ranking with #1 Michigan.... State. LOL

I don't know the specifics of their methodology but it seems pretty off compared to 247 which I've grown to like over the years. For example, On3 has MSU #1 and Michigan #2. 247 has Michigan #1 and MSU #20. One thing is not like the other. According to 247, MSU has 11 portal commits and among that group there is one 4* and one 3*. Michigan has 7 commits, five 4* and two 3*.

On3 says their ranking is based on the talent differential in what you've lost in the portal compared with what you gained. Well, if Sparty has significantly upgraded their roster with a bunch of sub 3* guys, then... oof.

Absolutely. Let me direct you to last year’s SECCG. Alabama was a 6.5 dog with healthy WRs absolutely picked Georgia to pieces and beat them by 3 scores (and it could have been worse). It was a Pyrrhic victory in that our WR1, WR2, and WR4 all were injured, but the gameplan was devised by Saban and was absolutely perfect.

The Bama and TOSUC rosters were/are similar and Ohio State can absolutely do what Alabama did: A classic BYU medium range passing gameplan with some deeper Spurrier Hi-Lo flat pass schemes thrown in to keep them honest.

Defensively, Stetson Bennett the 14th HATES pressure up the middle and he hates being hit. It rattles him.

So, yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, but if you try for Run-Pass balance with Georgia they will beat you. If you try to play loose zones and dropping everyone into coverage, they will beat you. Otherwise, yes, and if you do win, I will be your biggest fan that day. Nothing will make me happier.
