  • Welp, after yesterday:

Georgia *if* if they win out
    OSU/M Winner
Georgia *if* they lose SEC CG
    TCU *if* they win out
    LSU *if* they win out
USC *if* if they win out
    Clemson *if* they win out
    OSU/M Loser

Georgia is either the #1 or #2 seed. The OSU/M winner is either the #1 or 2 seed. TCU and USC are in if they win out. Clemson probably is next up if one of those teams slips, but I still think their loss to Notre Dame should be disqualifying and the entire ACC is garbage. The OSU/M loser will probably need at least 2 out of those 3 teams to lose.

    • Alabama is just not a good team. We struggled with Austin Peay early. Multiple turnovers. Only led 7-0 deep into the second quarter. And Austin Peay went for it on 4th down every red zone drive. They threw snake eyes every time. The game could have been 34-12, easily - and that score is more indicative of the actual game.

Auburn came together and absolutely dominated a decent Western Kentucky team this week after beating Mississippi State last week. Interim coach, Carnell Williams, has given them a shot of enthusiasm and Auburn is playing for their life to become bowl eligible.

Last year, Bama was a huge favorite. They entered the game 11-1 and snuck out of the Iron Bowl with a 24-22 win before killing Georgia in the SECCG and Cinci in the CFP before getting beat up by Georgia in the Championship game.

Some early lines have Alabama -26.5. If you get anywhere close to that, take it and bet the farm.

      • My hope is that win or lose in the Iron Bowl and then the Citrus or some NY6, that Saban takes a hard look at his coordinators and shelves his misplaced loyalty and gets some quality coordinators.

Gelding and BOB as coordinators are paid more than 96.5% of the HEAD coaches in D1. They are coaching with a loaded deck, top notch personnel, facilities, and support staff and are turning in a coaching performance and game plan that is absolutely the worst in all of major college ball. The ROI is shockingly shitty.

        • Florida pulled a schollie offer from a white 4-star QB commit named Marcus Stokes because of a video of him signing along to a rap song and he sang the N-word that was a lyric in the song.

-Songwriter writes a song with the word.

-Rap group records the song with the word.

-Record label promotes and distributes the song.

-The song is played on the radio, XM, Spotify, Pandora (etc) and at concerts.

-Amazon, Walmart, iTunes, Google Play, etc, sell the song.

All the above are fine, but you can only sing along with the song if you are a specific race. Just crazy times we live in.

          FWIW, the kid has apologized.

                      • Yeah. Probably. I will hate it if it pans out. Mississippi does this to themselves. State law only allows 4-yr contracts. Coaches want guaranteed, long-term cash.

Or to make it simpler, most likely:

                          1. Georgia
                          2. OSU/M
                          3. TCU
                          4. USC

                          • And if USC drops a game, which is entirely likely if not probable (ND and Oregon), then Clemson will slide in to the 4 spot and get annihilated by Georgia.

                            • If it pans out that way, all I want for Christmas is a Georgia loss. I probably won’t get it, but that’s all I want.
