  • Bama holds on and somehow beats #14 Miami.

501 total yards. Bryce was 27-38 for 344 passing yards and 4 TDs. No INTs.

Next up, a very spirited (((checks notes))) Mercer team as a time-up before we travel to Hogtown to face the night Gators. Steve Spurrier has already predicted Ed at Florida win.

            • Either the Clemson O-Line is horseshit or the Georgia D-line is NFL caliber.

UGA has absolutely won that battle today.

              • I think it's more that Georgia's defensive front is awesome. Clemson's offensive line has issues, but it took elite talent to make them look that bad.

                • Two very good defenses in that game. Clemson is going to win a lot of games this year solely on their defense. So will Georgia.

Kirby and Dabo had their kids ready to play. A pick six is the difference.

I remember when Michigan teams looked that good.

                  • The Clemson QB, DJ, has some issues to work out, too. Pocket presence and awareness.

                        • Ole Miss-Louisville tonight. Kiffin out because he tested Covid+. Vaccinated. Asymptomatic but still + so therefore potentially contagious.

This hurts Ole Miss immensely because Ole Miss losses the best offensive play caller in college football for the game.

                          • Some SEC OOC games this week that are somewhat interesting:

Pitt -2.5 at Tennessee. Hope the Panthers can pull it out. The world is always better with a bad Vol team.

Texas A&M -17 at Colorado. Sure, the Buffs should get slaughtered, but playing at Mile High has affected a lot of folks in the past who aren’t used to it. Empower Mile High elevation: 5,280; elevation at College Station, Texas: 330 feet.

South Carolina +2.5 at East Carolina. Big road game and the Cocks are still using an equipment manager as QB (not kidding). I don’t think ECU is great, but this is a tall order for USC.

Texas -6 at Arkansas. This line confuses me. I mean I like Pittman as a coach, but I don’t think the Hogs can hang with the Horns. Will def place a small amount on this game.

NC State -2.5 at MissState. The MSU defense is horrendous. Sure, the team pulled out a huge come-from-three-scores-down 4th quarter win (and that’s great and all), but they were playing LaTech. At home.

Vandy +5.5 at Colorado State. Two SEC teams going to Colorado the same week. Weird. Anyway, this is a cripple fight, but the Rams should cover.

Mizzou +5 at Kentucky. Not OOC (first SEC conference match-up) but I think the Wildcats cover easily.

                            • Alabama injuries:

Christopher Allen. Bama’s all everything LB. Allen finished with three total tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack and one forced fumble. He led the Southeastern Conference in tackles for loss and tallied six sacks a season ago. He looks gone for the season with a broken foot.

Henry To’o To’o the Tennessee xfer hurt his elbow and was put in a sling. Word is he will sit for a game or two but will be okay.

Two injuries. Both linebackers. Getting a sense of deja vu to 2018.
