  • I think he's February signing day at the earliest. I believe he is involved in basketball season at the moment. He may even wait until April on the off-chance he can take visits then.

    • Have you done the math on what his signing will do to your numbers? Does CRD beat out Lord Saban with his NLI?

        • CRD had to burn a special teams scholarship for this class and it's really dragging down the average. Very unfortunate.

That said, CRD's Australian punty dude would not be the lowest ranked recruit in M's class. Heh.

          • Also, Florida is wildly confident they’ll win the SECCG. Players and even Mullen essentially guaranteeing victory.

Mullen yesterday said something to the effect of “I will talk about our chance at making the CFP Saturday night after we’ve beaten Alabama.”

I wish I were mire confident. Hate the D being mediocre.

Y’all would have us on average? What would the final tally be (if you’ve done the math)?

              • Well, the extent of my math is using the 247 Class Calculator which only spits out total class value, not average. I don't know if they weight or use a diminishing principle or whatever for average. Using straight-forward math, (OSU's current avg (0.9456) x total commits (21) + J.T. score (0.9990)) and then divided by new commit total (22) = 0.9480.

In any event, the jump would certainly be more than 0.04, so The Nick would need to add another high value recruit or two to hold off CRD.

                  • He balms his shattered soul with the hope of Biden and Tucker. But, yes.

BTW, Alabama and Ohio State currently have LOIs from 25 of the top 100. Granted, UAT did the heavy lifting there with 13. Hopefully CRD can contribute a full 50/50 share with JTT.

                      • It’s Bama and Ohio state, no doubt.

Speaking of recruiting, I see Scott Frost is outside of the top 20 at Nebraska. Talk about a once proud program fighting to beat out the likes of Maryland and Ole Miss in recruiting and failing is kinda sad. He’s just been an abject failure on and off the field. When your W-L record is much worse than Mike Riley...just no words. Wonder how long he can hold on?

                        • The problem with recruiting at Nebraska is that Nebraska is in Nebraska.

                            • So as I understand it, 75% of the elite recruits in the country do NOT want to play for either OSU or Bama.

                              • lol. Perfect, Mike. (But it’s 72.5%). “Elite” stops at top 91 (obviously).
