Yeah, the OSU players have been loud on this. They want to play. Same with Clemson. Likely, the BigTen and ACC commishes would try and threaten one-year defectors, but it would be an empty threat. The thing is, the SEC presidents will probably cave because they will be concerned with the optics if other Power5 Conferences cancel and the SEC doesn’t. What I don't get is how you can claim it's 'safe' to have students on campus if you don't think it's safe to play football. You at least have more control over the movements of the players.
Also I wonder how much concern there was over off-campus parties and tailgating on gamedays. Local police everywhere probably wants fuck all to do with policing that. But there's going to be parties regardless.Comment
