  • It's old stuff. Kellerman must have nothing to talk about and, of course, AA is a well-established Kellerman bootlicker.

Here's the story from 11W with details: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-...tic-activities

If we didn't live in a world where Ohio State could get sued for wrongful death for the knowing, voluntary decision of an individual to participate in a sport then things like this wouldn't be necessary.

If I were counsel for any University, I'd have every student sign a Covid waiver before resuming the in-person educational experience.

    • They have "educational experience" at OSU?

Quick, somebody tell Cardale Jones ...

sorry, I couldn't ignore that one

      • I don’t watch Kellerman. He was retweeted in my timeline.

        • Kellerman is nearly as self-absorbed as Jim Rome.

Both act as if their opinions are biblical in stature and there can be no reasonable opposing view.

So is the OSU DB Devonta Smith coming to Bama?

            • I would assume so, but I haven't a clue why he thinks that's a better option. He was Ohio State's lowest rated recruit (at #400). He's a high 3* who may be a little underated. He expressed his concerns over Ohio State's DB numbers and asked if they wanted to bring in another DB. They told him yes and and told him if he was a concerned he should look around at better fits.

So, he wasn't pushed out, but there was a fair amount of indifference. What's more, I'm not sure why he thinks UAT is a better numbers situation for him than OSU.

                • Right. But, man, The Nick always recruits.

Anyway, losing Battle to The Nick really sucked. Losing Smith is meh.

                  • Well, hopefully D. Smith comes here. I think we could use him. Doesn’t seem like TOSUC needed him at all.

                    • So, a KSU student named Jaden McNeil tweeted something mocking and insensitive on George Floyd. It made the rounds amongst KSU students. The KSU football team has taken up the cause and have stated they will not meet, practice, or play until the student faces ‘strong consequences’ for tweeting whatever shit he tweeted. Am I the only one who finds this troubling if KState expels this student? What a dangerous trend. I’m sure that the kid in question is a racist asshole. But a state university expelling or sanctioning the kid because he said something bad on Twitter?

                          • After looking up his @ on Twitter I found the kid’s tweet. Apparently, last week, he “congratulated” Floyd on being drug free for one month. Yeah, that’s asshole gallows humor. But the football team going on strike until the university punishes him for a Tweet? If the (public) university does punish him, surely the kid has a lawsuit.

Thank god UA isn’t in a town named for a murderous-racist-land-stealing genocidal maniac like Columbus. The sooner it is renamed Flavortown, the better. Until then, OSU = racist by association.

                              • It's a hard topic but yes, given that it's a public university I do have a problem with expelling someone over a free speech issue. That said, even public universities have student code of conduct policies that are vaguely written and could be used to punish just about anything the university finds obnoxious.
