  • 6-6 Mizzou would be the 10th bowl team, but probation keeps them at home. Speaking of Mizzou. Surprised they fired Odom a few weeks back. I think he did well considering.

Play 2 games on Friday night, then 2 at Noon on Saturday, 2 at 3:30, and 2 at 8:00 on that weekend.

The eight winners get re-seeded and move to neutral sites the following week. Those four winners get a break over the holidays and play as they are scheduled now.

The fans are going to follow their teams no matter where they play. But that's not where the real money is anyway. Its in the TV rights to those games, which should pique the NCAA's interest to no end.

It can be done, and it should be done.
Not a fan of that plan at all.

          • I like 8 if you make it the conference championship of the big conferences getting automatic bids.

            • Maybe. But I look at 5 to 8 and think...meh.

              • Exactly. And with 16, the big push will be to auto-berth all conference champions. FAU, Miami(Oh), and the like have no business in the CFP.

                  • What they will do when they expand will be 8, imo:

                    -5 P5 Conf Champs
                    -1 highest rated G5
                    -2 WCs

                        • Drinkwitz from App State is going to Missouri. Louisville got the better of the App State head coaches last year. You SEC guys should be glad it wasn't the other way around

Clemson would not have beaten OSU, and they would have lost to at least one (1) of, Wisconsin or Penn State. Even Iowa would have given them a hard time.

Uh.. 31-0 Clemson last time they met. (I might point out that other than your French predictions about UM you haven't been right about any other predictions other than some obvious ones.)

So does this mean you won't be using my recommendations the next time you visit the sports betting venues in Vegas?

and .. didn't I spend about a month just recently accurately predicting that OSU would beat Michigan by double digits? Even in the face of their biggest fan here who gambled away his last chance of winning the forum money contest to justify his sandbagging? If his predictions were serious, he's worse at this than I am by a long shot.

Come on, Stan. You know I'm right. Clemson played an easier schedule than both OSU and Alabama this year. Let Michigan play that, and they're likely in the playoffs, even with their myriad of problems. Clemson wouldn't last 5 years in the Big Ten East. They'd be screaming for a return to the friendlier confines of the ACC.

                              • What Big Ten East team has beaten a number one ranked team in the last three years? Last I heard last year's Bama team was "the greatest football team of all time".
