Hating on the $EC - Mostly Alabama (and a little Georgia too)

Alabama was doomed with injuries and forced to play too many true freshmen. With one or two back on the roster, we would be 12-0 and back in the CFP. Most deservedly.

The SEC nor Alabama is perpetually overrated. Any belief in that ridiculous "theory" speaks more to jealousy and idiocy than any form of rational thought or (lol) "calculations".

The SEC is always over rated. My Tennessee fan friends think that the Vols are "back" to being a power because they have won 5 in a row even though those wins have come over SC, UAB, KY and MS, all mediocre teams at best. Hell, UAB may be the best team of the bunch

And for those who don't remember, the Bowl Coalition became the Bowl Alliance after a year. Then a few years of that before the BCS. 16 seasons of the BCS before we started the CFP in 2014.

AND THEY HAVE ALL BEEN CONSPIRING TO GIVE THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS! Or, the SEC, you know, most years, is pretty good. Either or.

So in the 26 years since 1992, SEC teams have won 13 NC's. They're .500 over that time frame.

That matchup isn't happening, Wings.

With OSU going to the playoffs, the Big Ten will probably have Wisconsin going to the Rose Bowl. Then the bowl pecking order will be Minnesota, Penn State and then Michigan.

I think we're going to San Diego to play in the Holiday Bowl vs USC, .. which will not be a fun day either ...

Losing to SC is pouring salt in the wound, If the Holiday Bowl doesn't pick Michigan its the Gator Bowl . The Holiday Bowl is feeling more and more like the destination and have to hope that Utah misses the College Football Playoff. Both Oregon and Utah could play in New Years Six games, which would mean the next-highest Pac-12 team would be contractually obligated to play in the Alamo Bowl. Washington remains intriguing but it the first game out there to open the 2020 season.

Jesus. When you are guaranteed to get a team in the NC game every fucking year because your conference starts with every lousy team ranked in top ten you are bound to win some championships. You can't win them if you don't get in the game. The SEC being over rated every single year has ensured that they get a shot.

It has been that way ever since the ESPN/SEC connection.

I think most B1G fans don't really care about what other conference teams do in the post season. You'll not see OSU or MSU fans "rooting" for Michigan when they play USC in the Holiday Bowl. In fact, some of them may buy USC garb to wear that day. Penn State fans aren't going to root for OSU to beat LSU. Minnesota fans aren't going to cheer for Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.

Basically, most B1G fans seem to feel that the rest of the conference can kiss their ass. Not a lot of buddy-buddy stuff going on there.

Funny as it seems, if we do end up playing SC (and win) it would be a great year in my mind. I hate SC so bad, but I think they will hammer Michigan out west for sure, their QB is ---- hitting his stride!
