I totally overlooked that it was Auburn that got matched up with Central Florida. What a kick in the nuts for them. Beat both of the SEC playoff teams, solidly, and your reward is no-win matchup that'll be hard to get motivated for.

While I am glad to see the SEC fall to 0-3 just to watch twitter blow up... it really doesn't mean that much. I've held the position that bowl games are indicators of a conferences strength, but not THE indicator as other factors come into play that are not present during the season.

So... my thoughts or beliefs on the SEC this year haven't changed nor do I think the SEC is somehow weak because they went 0-3 so far. They were the 3rd best conference going into the bowl season and I think that will still end up true. I would have had the ACC at #1

Flipping Brenton Cox was a bitch for OSU. Kid is a stud. That's the difference between the two classes right now. But Georgia still has a few more to come including Luke Ford.

And, perhaps most importantly, they have 3 top 10 kids for 2019 verballed and almost surely solid (they're all in-state) -- and they have a 4th all but locked up. One class CAN be a difference-maker, but when you stack them, that's when you really arrive.

Good call. That is definitely the goal for Georgia. As a fan, I love this class but the real test will be if Georgia can be in the top three every year in recruiting.

Georgia fans hate to be compared with Alabama, but that is the obvious model.

I'm not going to lie: I thought there was a chance Oklahoma was going to boat race Georgia early in the game, but those running backs are something else.

If you would have told me Georgia would be playing for the National Championship at the end of last year I would have politely nodded and then shook my head at you as you left the room.
