Yep ...... my concern would be the NCAA's ability to pursue the evidence, make it useful in support of tough sanctions against basketball programs that have been clearly cheating though their assistants it appears at this point.

Like I said before, I really think the FBI is looking for some big dogs in all of this and already know who those big dogs are.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Most of which can likely be blamed on the rogue assistant unless the paper trail leads elsewhere. Most head coaches are too smart to leave any proof behind of their wrongdoings which is why the cheating nowadays all takes place via shadow organizations that don't have an official association with the university.

Faced with jail time, these guys will sing, blame others, whatever they need to.

                  • They can blame others all they want but if there is no paper trail then I guarantee you the NCAA will err on the side of doing absolutely nothing.

Occam's Razor does not exist to the NCAA.

It depends if you get Jekyll NCAA or Hyde NCAA. They skewered Bama because Antonio Langham signed a cocktail napkin and got $300 from an agent after the 1992 Sugar Bowl. They said Stallings knew, he denied it and there was never any proof - to which the NCAA famously told Bama in our appeal, 'we don't need proof, this isn't a court of law. We're the NCAA.'

                            • This is an article about Harbaugh's comments, but it struck a chord. This happens everywhere. Kevin Sumlin is notorious for not having working AC in the vistors' locker room. And in college station, where the field temp is known to be 120F and even more at times, it's a huge issue.

Alabama brings its own AC when visiting the Aggies.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh says he plans to file complaints about a hit on quarterback Wilton Speight, asking why there wasn't a personal foul penalty and why Purdue's health facilities were subpar.
