As for Landon's comments, I do not support him. He is an all-world safety. To suggest that they cheap-shotted you in the shoulder is silly. Now, were there some blindsided blocks that might be called in 2016? Yeah. Okay. Whatever. The game wasn't played in 2016, though. Alabama 58, Washington 2....The Nick mercilessly chews Lane-O's ass for a bad snap that goes over Hurts head and out of the endzone, and then tells reporters Alabama isn't a very good football team right now and needs to fix lots of things.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Correct. Cardale was a bit of load if your defense, for some inexplicable reason, gave him a 30 yard running start.
And, yes, I still miss Ezekiel...

I wouldn't call that "ha-ha funny."
But, yes, Alabama's "hurry up" TD made it 35-35 in terms of offensive points.
Fortunately my boy Steve Miller was able to lock down on Amare and get a nice little Pick-6.
Unfortunately, that loss spurred The Nick to dig even deeper into his malevolent soul to produce an inexorably remorseless killing machine that gives Lucifer himself night sweats. I weep for Chris Peterson.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

It's not ha-ha funny. It's sad funny.
Ohio State with a pick six, 4 offensive TDs, a two-pt conversion, and two FGs for their 42
Bama with 5 offensive TDs for our 35.
That stupid 90-yard run by Elliott, the 50 yard TD bomb from Cardale, and that fucking pick-six were all coffin nails."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

I think the TD at the end of the half was the real outlier. Evan Spencer, a WR, throws an inch perfect ball to Michael Thomas who makes a great catch. A trick play completely diagnosed and covered and it's still a TD.
Elliot breaking a long run wasn't out of the ordinary. Hell, he had 2 against Alabama. Devin Smith catching a bomb TD wasn't out of the ordinary. I don't think Sims getting duped by coverage was too surprising either.
But Spencer to Thomas as OSU's best throw and catch of the game...well...I wouldn't bet on that happening again...ever.
That said, it was only a 4 point play --- they were comfortably in FG range.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I think the pick-six was the killer outlier. Blake just didn't throw INTs and he threw it directly to the big guy in the wrong jersey. It wasn't some tricky slip coverage where you slide and break quickly on a thrown ball. He was huge, wearing a white jersey, and for the most part standing flat-footed 10 feet in front of the Bama receiver and Blake threw it directly to him. Blake wasn't even pressured. And this was the drive at the end of the third quarter. Just inexplicable and critical."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
