This is exactly how I see the playoff picture shaking out. Michigan in at a solid 15. Closely followed by Clemson at 16.

      • I'm shocked Ole Miss isn't getting 1st place votes... knowing how much those voters love Ole Miss.

At this point, I would flip Auburn and TAMU. The rest looks good.

Based on how they look at this moment I'd prob agree. Was giving A&M the edge based on their win 6 weeks ago

            • I get that. The TAMU loss was when Gus was still calling plays. They're playing much better now.

Yes, you misread. I am 4-4 on Bama lines this year. Average Bama-MissState score since Saban has been at Bama is 27-9. (31-11 in Tuscaloosa, 24-8 in Starkville).

Line is -29 against MissState. We will not cover. It will be a 30-10 type game. We're banged up some after LSU, and they're playing a bit better.

                  • In order of confidence:
                    ----

Trevor Knight is out for the year after a shoulder injury last week. He was the Aggies offense. Chad Kelly was ALSO lost for the year last week with an ACL. He was the Rebs offense.

It's rare that two teams who lose their starting QB for the year face each other the next week. Both teams will rely on the run more and the Rebel defense couldn't stop a middle school girl from getting to the second level on a run. Take the aggies.

                    ------

Bama is banged up after LSU and it's an 11am kick. Sluggishness City. Bama doesn't cover.

                    -----

Auburn should cover. Georgia is....not good.

                    -----

I think South Carolina keeps it a one-score game. Florida's offense is on par with something like 2000 Bama.

                    -----

KENTUCKY WINS THIS AND GOES TO ATLANTA!

                    -----

Take Vandy as a road dog? Yes.

                    -----

LSU is banged up and let down after Bama - and FayetteNam is a hard place to play. Take the points and Go Hogs.

                    • I predicted Bama to beat my Wolverines in the national championship game this, and I'll stand by that as as good a prediction as any at this point. But there will be a collapse by the Crimson Tide at some point in the next few years, IMO. But what, when, and why? (It's probably got something to do with voting for that Yankee Trump.)

                      Comment

                      • A collapse is not likely as long as Saban is in charge.

His first year he inherited a Shula team short on talent and shorter on discipline and coaching and won 7 games. Since that time, he has won the SEC 4 times and 4 national championships. After that first year, Bama is 107-12 with our low water mark being 2010 where we only win 10 games which was down from an average of over 12 games per year. The Process is in full swing and while past performance won't necessarily guarantee future results, it is a pretty good indicator that this decade will give way to the next with Ala-Fucking-Bama relentlessly obliterating the will of other teams, looting their coffers, salting their fields, and riding off to the sobs and lamentations of their women.

Now, it's possible he could have a stroke and be wheel-chair bound and aphasic, but even with that, he'd still win 10 or 11 games a year on average

And Trump won Michigan, too! Don't put that on the fine folks from the Yellowhammer State.

                        • Saban would have won 8 in his first year if he didn't have to play Monroe.

Still, 114-18 is a nice run. He should still spend considerable time in the stocks for blowing the 24-squat lead to Cameron, but overall, decent.

You weren't around for the great Hoke v. Saban argument. To be fair, it was mostly Liney with a few off-brand contributions thrown in. But it was absolutely serious. Ah, the halcyon days of 2011 and the first 8 months of 2012.
