    • I need opera or jazz on in the car when I drive. Finebaum's buffoonery is not enjoyable to me.

On long drives, I tend to listen to podcasts, sometimes Tigers baseball games. Those tend to help keep me from falling asleep. Around town, I just turn on local radio. The choices for talk are right wing bullshit, Finebaum and Chuck Oliver (even a bigger tool than Finebaum).

The sports talk here is all college football all the time with the bulk of the coverage going to Bama, and then to Auburn and then the rest of the SEC. In their minds, no other conference exist.

I think every caller that calls in start with "Roll Tide Roll and has to include a reference to the SEC being the best conference in the country. It gets old pretty quickly

              • Well, you're in SF, and they have to play to their audience. Speaking of SF, I need to drop by Blue Gill.

Absolutely. I remember talking to Neil McCready when he used to do a local drive time show here on 105.5 before he got fired for criticising Sabin and Alabama. We were discussing how the day after the Superbowl he tried to direct the show toward that topic and the first caller wanted to know where the big DT from Podunk High was going to sign. All college football, all the time...

The Original Oyster House is better than the Blue Gill. Blue Gill uses a lot of frozen stuff.

Most of the locals like Felix's, but I'm not sold on it.

                  • Hate to hear that about Blue Gill. Is that something new? The few times I have eaten there it was very good.

                    • No, it's not new. You just have the palate of a Chernobyl survivor. You probably can't even discern the difference between bourbon and gin, let alone frozen or fresh seafood. Rube.

Who needs OP when we have AA who surely must also imbibe on Cosmos.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                        • You forget AA's station, Buchanan. He's still drinking Bartles and Jaymes -- which, I think, are only sold in Alabama and its Sister State in Systemic Failure, Mississippi.

                          • I'm still searching for Sun County wine coolers in the 2 liter bottles.

I can listen to Classical in the car but I draw the line at Opera.

                            • There are those who appreciate opera... and then there are mouth-breathing troglodytes with room-temp IQs. Present company (except "talent") excluded, of course.

As for my spirits, bourbon and scotch make up 97.66(repeating, of course)% of my intake. Although, on occasion, tequila. I do enjoy a glass of red with a steak, and I am a beer drinker.
