  • Brady Hoke and Charlie Weis are two of the fattest & biggest conmen in the CFB game today.

It's all about "5-year building plans", hanging around long enough to collect a few seasons of paychecks while their respective programs implode.

Hoke's latest excuse-plagued crap. Hoke has never been an AC or DC over his entire career, 400K at Oregon as their DC, what were they thinking? Hiring him over the phone?
After an unceremonious exit at Michigan, Brady Hoke is trying to reinvent himself -- and the Ducks defense -- in Eugene.

Just FWIW, but a lot of people outside B1G circles basically say the same thing about Harbaugh/Meyer.

      • B1G has a lot of poop but not quite as much as the ACC.

        • I think the ACC is better than most folks give credit.

          FSU, Clemson legit programs.
VaTech is a decent program despite a recent dip
          Duke has gotten much better
UNC is cyclical, but can be good.
Miami has a good history. Decent despite some troubles.
          Boston College
          GaTech
          Louisville
          NC State

All-in-all, better than what they're credited with

This post did nothing to further your argument.

            • The ACC lacks a consistent Wisconsin or MSU type of program right now. Not elite but consistently very good. VT used to be that but aren't anymore.

                Which team specifically?

                VaTech?
                Miami?
                UNC?
                Boston College?

                All of the above?

                • And let me be clear: I personally think the ACC is toward the bottom of P5 conferences, but the gap seems to be closing.

Let Clemson and FSU continue on in their direction and add a decent VaTech or Miami, they're really not a horrible conference.

                    1. SEC
                    2. B1G
                    3. PAC12
                    4. BigXII
                    5. ACC

I mostly agree with you. FSU & Clemson are a strong 1-2. They need a couple other programs to be consistently good. I feel like after the top 2 they have a lot of GT caliber programs that will go 11-3 one year and 4-8 the next.

Yes, with the possible exception of Miami. They are complete irrelevant shit in need of a total transformation. There's more stadium staff at their home games than fans. Richt should get them back to respectability but it will probably take 2-3 years. The rest are Minnesota, Penn State types. BC probably less so.

                        • VaTech is in the top 20 of win % the past decade.

UNC was 11-3 last year and I believe is headed in the right direction.

From 1999 to 2010, BC was decent. They have fell on hard times of late, though.

                          • Besides, VaTech beat Ohio State recently. That alone is enough to give them props. Doing the lord's work.

                              • You forgot Louisville.
Always been a steady program. Now they have an ascending star in Lamar Jackson at QB.
Pay attention at that for the next 3 years.

Virginia will probably get better with Bronco Mendenhall as head coach.
