  • College baseball has been fun, but it doesn’t matter. Doesn’t look like anyone short of the TB Rays can beat #1 seed Wake Forest. The Deacs are annihilating teams.

In their first game, they beat George Mason 12-0. In game 2, they beat Maryland 21-6, and they currently lead George Mason (again) 9-0 in the top of the 4th.

        • It’s now the 5th inning and Wake is up 11-0. Just a historically great college baseball team.

          • Wake ended up beating George Mason 15-1 with bench warmers.

Outscored opponents by a combined score of 48-7 over 3 regional games.

                • Good news: Alabama won their regional.

Bad news: We play Wake Forest in the Super Regional.

                  yay.

                    • Wake is 33-3 at their home field this year, which is where the Super Regional will be played.

Yeah, there is a chance. About like the chance that Middle Tennessee State has beating Bama in football at Bryant-Denny in a few months. And that’s not sandbagging or hyperbole.

                        • I don’t sandbag. The baseball thing is pretty easy to see. Wake is a 1-seed. Arguably the most dominant college baseball team in a generation. Alabama is an overachieving 16-seed that snuck into the Regionals after their coach was fired for betting on this team to lose.
