Sheeeiit, Maryland will be lucky if it’s still a game 10 minutes in. This is a cold-blooded, sharp-shooting Bama team. Nick Cage’s Drunk History awaits!

    • AA - When Nick Cage found out that Calvin Coolidge discovered half of the map to Coronado’s Lost City of Gold inside the Resolute Desk that had been placed there by Queen Victoria when she gave the desk as a gift in 1880 and then Coolidge had Mount Rushmore built solely to distract from the fake lake behind it hiding an enormous underground gold city, did you audibly gasp?

That comment makes me wonder if this shoe salesman has any idea what kind of liquor one must drink in college to train for a life of imbibing, if you have the vaguest clue on how one must punish and subdue one’s liver with a lifetime of drinking. I have an Ambassador’s card from Maker’s Mark, I am on the board of Glenfiddich and Macallan, I have been awarded citations from seven different whisky boards in Scotland and I am never, ever sick at sea. So I ask you; when someone goes into that pub and they fall off their stool and they pray to God that they live through their drunkenness, who do you think they're praying to? Now, go ahead and read your Bible, DSL, and you go to your church, and, with any luck, you might win the annual raffle, but if you're looking for God, he was in the Bow Bar pub on Victoria Street yesterday and he doesn't like to be second guessed. You ask me if I have a God complex. Let me tell you something: I am God.
I would have to subscribe to the Nietzschean view in this instance.

Its probably better that Michigan got tossed early. No need for nation wide embarrassment. Maybe it will happen to Vandy instead.

              • Maryland loves, and I mean LOVES, the illegal screen. And it’s not being called, so you can’t fault them.

                • Somehow, we squeaked through against the Terps. Up next is San Diego State, a 29-6, 5-seed, and they are absolutely destroying people.

It was a good season, but it ends Friday.

                    • St. Andy’s is historic links. If you are looking for impeccable greens and fairways (like Augusta) you will leave disappointed.

The Old Course is my favorite, but Carnoustie and Trump’s courses are very nice.

It's Scotland. I expect patchy crabgrass and a herd of sheep allowed to roam the course at will.

You are thinking of Cornell. Of course, there the sheep are called “cheerleaders”.

I believe we call them “yell leaders” or some such nonsense and they entertain the crowd by singing George M. Cohan and Irving Berlin songs. It’s a very genteel atmosphere.
