Alabama, and the south as a whole, does have a large number of poor people who cannot afford proper dental care. In Alabama, there is a free dental clinic at the UAB school of dentistry, but most of the state’s truly poor cannot afford to travel there. Poverty and poor dental care is a real problem. I am sure Detroit has an issue, too.

But you can't hold a whole area responsible for the poverty of a few individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't you blame the whole financial system?
