If you like CFB the way it is, you better enjoy the 2021 season. It won't ever be the same again after this year.
It will become a de facto professional minor league for the NFL. They may find a way to affiliate with colleges, but money will determine where athletes go, not education. If education is involved, players will not be required to be full time students. I'd guess as long as they take 6-8 credits per semester that will cover them. No more 12 credit semesters.
I think there will be an avenue for an athlete that still actually WANTS an education, but it will be strictly voluntary. Most will take classes along the lines of vocational pursuits.
And I think all this could have been avoided had the NCAA not been so tight with their money. All the players wanted was a bit of cash flow in their pockets for use of their likeness. Instead, the Pandora's box has been opened. Its all going to be money now.
