      • I miss Mr Alum getting all out of sorts when one says something bad about Muscle Shoals.

          • I do not remember ever defending Muscle Shoals, let alone getting “out of sorts”.

              • Well looky there... I got him to respond ... lol

Muscle Shoals is fine. My parents used to have friends in Florence that we visited every year or so. After those folks moved to central Florida we started vacationing in Gulf Shores.

I like Alabama but the summers are too hot/humid.

As I recall it, you grew quite ashen and your monocle sprung from your face into your mint julep.

You did really not “get” me to respond. I have been out-of-pocket the last few weeks. I checked the last page of posts upon my return and saw your comment.

I do not remember mentioning or defending Muscle Shoals.

                        • You are terrible at reading mood. Harm? Insult? Offense? Are you kidding? If a simple reply to your post gives you that impression, you do not know me well. At all.

That said, I do not understand the original post referencing Muscle Shoals, because other than the Swampers and Dennis Homan, I have no love for that berg.

                          • I've always considered "Muscle Shoals" a humorous name for a city in N. Alabama. My attempt at humor.

Now, if it were a city on the N. Carolina coast and spelled Mussel Shoals, there'd be no humor in that at all.

                            • I think it has something to do with the buff Indians of the area. Or something. It’s been a while.

                              • Contrary to popular belief, Vienna Sausages are in fact a traditional English food, first created as a celebratory food in honor of Edward the First's heroic conquest of the barbaric Peat Peoples of northern Britain.
