It's hard .......tournaments. Izzo was once a master at it, now he's just an old man that whines a lot and apparently demotivates his players doing that.
Anyway, there seems to be something about Juan that inspires player confidence to succeed. He's been there, done that and there's a tradition of great NCAA tournament performances from M that he can draw from. Never mind he's proving he's a great basketball coach. I don't know jack about figuring out how to optimize player strengths in B-Ball and put a competent game plan together but, Holy ShIt, this run, in the dance, just judging from the quality of play of his teams after it looked like the team might tank, is pretty fucking phenomenal.
It is so gratifying to see this after the turds M football has laid.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Just think this might be the only game in history decided by a pair of gym shorts
I thought that was an absolutely terrible overturn. If it takes 5 minutes to decide, then there wasn’t clear and compelling evidence... or whatever the standard is. That said, it isn’t why Alabama lost.
No, the UCLA kicked ball that might have touched shorts on a moving Bama player (shorts also move with, you know, movement) was not the reason.
Horrible FT shooting was number one.
Shot selection was poor and we let UCLA get us out of our game.
I agree, was (half) joking but you never know. Bama is clearly a better team IMO, but gotta make your FT's. I think you guys were up one and would have got the ball back on that fluke play. It's a funny game, Jeff might just by right about experience, even though UCLA is a much younger team? (with a long history) Michigan will take care of them.
Since I want M to win it all, I am glad to see Alabama get knocked out. They scared the hell out of me. On a good night they were as good as any team in the country and certainly were capable of beating Michigan. I think the Bama loss gives Michigan a better shot at getting to the Final Four.
How the hell did they shoot so poorly from the line? Damn.
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
UCLA was led by a guy that looked as if he was straight off the court at the Y, 70s hair, complete with headband, Dad bod and all. I think the only reason he got to play is because he called "Next!
