It was a poorly officiated game. It's life as we know it in the SEC.

That was my thought as well; that there should've been the 10 sec runoff since LSU was out of TOs.

          • There was no 10 second run off because the penalty has to cause the clock to stop. The clock was stopped on the first down. Had they not gotten the first down, then there would have been a run off.

The refs got it right. ( as well as the review that the clock had run out before the snap)

            • I do not believe the 10-second run off is in play because the clock would have stopped with the first down. The majority of the 10 second run offs are for situations where the offending team would have benefitted by a penalty because it stopped a clock that would have kept running.

                • That makes sense, you would think the announcers would know the rules better.

                        • Memphis will give Ole Miss a game.

Tennessee plays A&M and Bama in back to back weeks and then A&M plays Bama Oct. 22. So by then there'll only be 1 undefeated SEC team, at most.

                          • Missouri will play LSU hard and may beat them.

10 of the 13 SEC teams are in conference play.

                            • Missouri, Vandy, South Carolina, and Kentucky are all bad teams and should be easy wins for the teams that play them. Memphis may give Ole Miss a game, probably not.

With the exception of the Florida/GA game the SEC is off next week.

                              • I don't know how you can say 'the SEC is off next week except for one game' when 10 teams are in conference play.
