There was no 10 second run off because the penalty has to cause the clock to stop. The clock was stopped on the first down. Had they not gotten the first down, then there would have been a run off.
The refs got it right. ( as well as the review that the clock had run out before the snap)I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I do not believe the 10-second run off is in play because the clock would have stopped with the first down. The majority of the 10 second run offs are for situations where the offending team would have benefitted by a penalty because it stopped a clock that would have kept running."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Missouri, Vandy, South Carolina, and Kentucky are all bad teams and should be easy wins for the teams that play them. Memphis may give Ole Miss a game, probably not.
With the exception of the Florida/GA game the SEC is off next week.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
