They announced that Bama is now sole third in longest continuous streak of being ranked in the AP poll (we were tied with Florida).
We are currently at 210 consecutive polls of being ranked (2008 through present). So, it got me curious of who the two teams that are ahead of Bama:
#2 is Florida State (1989-2001). They are at 211. We will pass them this year.
So, we are (or soon will be) #2.
#1 is a whole different story. It’s Nebraska at an amazing
348 (1981-2002). Easy to forget how dominant the Huskers once were and just how far they’ve fallen. I mean, now they’ve hit bedrock and have called for pick axes and dynamite kinda thing, but once upon a time, they were a true dynasty.
I just saw KU has 222 to pass UCLA for longest BBall streak
