I’ll never forgive Ohio State for bequeathing him Burrow. But hopefully LSU extends O a lot of loyalty. Would love to see him stay at LSU. And nobody believes me, but Hugh Freeze would outcoach and out recruit him and it wouldn’t even be close. Nobody wants Freeze at LSU outside of Baton Rouge."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Alabama grades at midseason:
Mac Jones: A-. Better than I dreamt possible. He still has a low trajectory and gets the occasional ball tipped at the line, but he makes up for that some with a quick release, he has good pocket awareness, throws an accurate deep ball, and goes through his progressions like a 3-year starter. He isn’t Tua, but he is a lot more durable.
Najee and Brian Robinson at RB: A- Pretty nice duo, but short of some of the great RB duos in recent Bama history.
WR corp: B+. Devonta Smith has tied the All-Time SEC record for TD receptions, Metchie is better than expected, and Slade Bolden has performed well taking over for Jaylan. With Jaylan done for the year, we don’t have a ton of experience behind those three. Another injury would doom us.
TEs: B- Miller Forristall has been banged up since last year. If he were healthy, this grade would be higher. His backups are converted OLinemen. And they catch the ball like linemen, too.
Kicker: A+. Wow, having a kicker is nice. William Reichard is 8/8 on FGs with a long of 52 and 37/37 on PATs.
Defense: D. We get lost, we are poor tacklers, and we give up big plays. Some improvement is noted, but I’m hesitant to read too much into a moribund MissState shutout.
Punter: No huge breakdowns, a decent average, and competent coverage. Nothing stellar, but not a liability."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
