                • Yeah, the press on Tua was ridiculous. The comparisons to Bo Jackson. OMG! Of course, the difference between the two is that Tua was operated on immediately and Bo walked around until his hip died. Whatever.

Of course, no one is accountable for their awful takes. That's the way it works. Unless a brave Alabamian raised in West Mississippi and of Irish descent can summon the courage the ensure the accounting is scrupulous.

                  • Yeah, the Bo-Tua thing was hilarious. Different injuries. But Saban HAD BLOOD ON HIS HANDS AND TUA WILL NEVER WALK AGAIN!!!1

That fuckery in your second paragraph is pure, well, fuckery. Bastard.

                          • I still don't think there's anything wrong with being concerned about Tua's well being.

I felt back then, and I feel now, that Tua was not playing at 100% when he injured his hip. Yes, I know .. every medical expert in the western hemisphere said that Tua didn't injure his hip due to his ankle injury. I got that. But still, as a parent and as a fan, I hate seeing great players sent back into action before they are fully ready. I saw my own son go down in a football game and had to be carted off, and I want to tell you, every step I took trying to get to the sideline to check on him was total misery. I don't wish that on any parent, or player.

I hope Tua has a great NFL career for the Dolphins. I hope he puts up numbers that will rival those of Dan Marino. But I see nothing wrong with being concerned about a player's well being.
