Holly Shit ..... it's happening!!
Finally, we'll all have something to talk about that doesn't have to do with anything but Football.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Rumor outta Tuscaloosa is that a freshman dual-threat named Jalen Hurts is likely to win the starting QB job. We have a 5-star pro style sophomore named Blake Barnett who was the presumptive starter a few months ago.
It will be interesting to see if he leaves if this happens."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

What does this say about Saban's predominant offensive style of football? ..... or is it just that the dual threat guy on the roster is just that much better?Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. We aren't changing from a balanced attack. And we won't do a spread option. We will run more sets where it is a called strong side bootleg or even a waggle, wheel play, or QB keeper with a mobile QB. And Saban has flipped back and forth between those styles and the more traditional pocket guys since his first years at LSU and through to present day:
Compare and contrast AJ McCarron, Greg McElroy, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Mauck, Marcus Randall, Blake Sims, and Jake Coker, for example.
You have a definite split of less mobile/pass first and dual threat guys. It's whichever offers the the most positives and this is nothing new with Saban."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
