      • UTK has managed to beat UAT more times in the last 15 years than M has beat OSU. But, UAT has sort of assrailed the fuck out of UTK with a couple exceptions. This year won't be one of them.

          • Sure. But, coaching changes happen. Ohio State's record includes the dreaded Year of Fickell. And even that was a close game. But it also includes 2 other coaches.

The Nick has certainly throttled the everliving fuck out of Tennessee.

            • Also, if we win Saturday, Saban passes Woody Hayes in total wins.

Yes, true, but Shula was a unique brand of misery.

Nonetheless, God willing, we will be tied over the odd 15-year timeframe and enjoying 13-straight wins over the Vals.

His time at Sparty is a bit of albatross. Without it, his winning percentage would be right up their UFM (for coaches that coached over 200 games).

The larger point is that 15 years just touches the era when Fulmer's Vals were still pretty good. I'd assume that DuBose and Stallings also lost their fair share to UT because, well, they were damn good for roughly 10 years. Sure, Shula ould have also lost to shitbreathing Val teams, but that wasn't the case.

And to think I thought you cherrypicked the timeframe mainly because the last 15 was more favorable for OSU than the last 10!

                      • 15 is as far back as I can go with just 1 loss. I could go back to 2001 and it would be even more favorable to Ohio State (vis-a-vis UAT-UTK comparison). But, 15 is clean and it's a single loss. Fucking Fickell.

                        • We should both be 14-1 after the season. which is amazing when you consider that the era between Stallings and Saban, a full 10 seasons, Bama was 51-55. Worse than Cal and Syracuse among the P5 teams and worse than New Mexico and Troy among the G5 schools.

                              • A loss with an injured Tua means UAT gets in the CFP at 11-1 ahead of all other 1-loss teams. That's a guarantee.
