ND in 2016? I missed it. Knew ND was coming back but didn't know the story.

ND was on the '16 schedule until like '13 when ND abruptly cancelled the series. As you know, schedules are made out years in advance and the best we could come up with is Hawaii as a replacement.

I expect Colorado to be way better than Hawaii. If our first stringers have to play in the fourth quarter of either of the first two games (Haw and UCF) then I'm going to worry.

So, I'm guessing you have reason to think they'll be improved?

So, I'm guessing you have reason to think they'll be improved?

Hawaii did pull off an upset there, but beyond that, they are at a different level of terrible. They got shut out three times by a combined score of 111-0. They lost by 20 to UNLV. Lost 58-7 to Air Force and ended up 0-8 in the Mountain West. Their QBs combined for 47.9% completions, just under 6 ypa, and 12 TD vs 21 INTs. I don't know much about who Colorado has coming back but FWIW they gave USC, Utah, and UCLA a game. I can realistically see them winning 2-3 PAC-12 games this year whereas with Hawaii, I expect them to be the caliber of a middling I-AA team. Central Florida might be that bad too.

Regardless, this is the easiest OOC schedule that I have ever seen for Michigan. In past years when ND wasn't on our schedule, we played some teams like Washington, UCLA, Virginia, and Colorado (before they tanked). This year it's two complete tomato cans and one PAC-12 team who is probably Purdue caliber.
