      • More proof that NCAA should implement a salary cap. Of course, you-know-who would find ways to circumvent that as well.

1 John 5:19 -... the whole world (of college football) is under the control of the evil one.

        • The tears of the defeated and the vanquished sate my thirst, oh Lord Saban. Verily, all things good and great are by the grace of thine divine Process. May victories and championships follow me all the days of my life.

          In thy name I pray,
          Amen

You have made that same statement at least twice. It must be important to you to have that believed.

In an effort to keep it from being posted a third time, let me say to you: YOU ARE RIGHT, FROOT! EVERYBODY CARES WHAT OTHERS SAY! DEEEEEEEEPLY!

Kidding aside, I think your thesis needs some qualification:

                  1. Some do NOT care what others say -at all
                  2. Some only care with certain people.
                  3. Some only care as an excuse to argue.
                  4. Some care with everyone.

Most people situationally change between #1 and #4.

With myself I am never #4, and change -depending on situation- between the other 3 options.

Hopefully, this will end this discussion... because I really do not care.

But it's all good. If I were a Bama fan I'd say the same. Where you sit is where you stand.

                        • Froot,

The Liberty Bowl piece is a time-honored tradition. It's like listing to Bing's "White Christmas." It was started as a gag and I wrote it over time at the request of a Kansas State fan (Wildcat00) on another forum I try to keep it seasonal.

Oh, is that what you're trying to compare your "people care" line to? If so, I think you'll need to flesh it out a bit.

                          • This game had huge ratings. #2 all time behind the Buckeyes-Ducks three years ago. So much for it being 'too regional'.
Well, it compares more closely to the other 2 regional finals insofar as it's way closer to 4th than it is to 1st. So, it was the best of the regional CFPs and no where close to the national CFP.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                            Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Yes I think so, wasn't it 3rd down near the 40 yard line? That would be a first down around mid field. How those fuckers ignore that is a crime.

It's still second. A distant second? Okay. But still second.
