    • 20-20 with a min left. The Troll Bowl, no surprise it's this close/ good(?) of a game.

EDIT: The dumbassed decision of McElwain not to take a timeout there.

        • That was entertaining... and funny...
Vols fans sound a little upset for some reason.

          • If it weren't for bad luck, the Vols would have no luck at all.

              • I really want to hear why Tennessee was not in any kind of prevent defense defending the Hail Mary?

You know, that significant defensive hire that Tennessee stole from Penn State a year and a half ago.

                  • Mississippi State 37, LSU 7, midway through the fourth in Starkvegas. It's not surprising that LSU still doesn't have a decent QB. It is kind of surprising to see them getting chewed up on the ground.

                          • Kentucky with a good with at South Carolina.
Carolina missed all of their kicks and were not opportunistic... losing badly in the conversions category.

Big game in the East with Florida at Kentucky next week. If UK wins that, 6-0 start possibly.

                              1. Bama. Pedestrian effort. Always a bit of a let down on weeks after we play a big game and follow it up with a team of this caliber.

                              2. LSU. They suffocate everyone they play. They haven't played a good yeam, yet, though.

                              3. Georgia. Gritty win in South Bend. Georgia looks like the shoe-in for the East.

                              4. Auburn. played toe-to-toe at Clemson. The defense is 100% legit. Working on timing patterns and the like will apparently take some more time because the offense is hot garbage. Of course Clemson's D had a lot to do with that.

                              5. MissStake. Beat LaTech by 36.

                              6. South Cackalackey. Dismantled a historically bad Mizzou team.

                              7. Tennessee. Beat an awful FCS team. But still, undefeated after last week's miracle win vs GaTech.

                              9. Ole Miss. Started off very slow vs U-Tee Martin. Then worse them down. I mean wore them down.

                              10. Vandy. This rank might be low. They demolished a FCS team, but still, looked solid this week and last.

                              11. Kentucky. Struggled to beat Eastern Kentucky.

                              12. TAMU. Struggled to beat Nicholls.

                              13. Florida. No action, no change.

                              27. Mizzou. Just awful. Turrible.
                              1. Bama. But make no mistake, Bama looked tepid against Colorado State. Having 6 injured LBs didn't help the D, but if we play like we played last night we will leave Nashville with a giant "L" on the side of the team bus.

                              2. MissState. They just cut the nads off of LSU and are wearing them like a necklace. Like I feared preseason, MSU is good.

                              3. Georgia. Though they didn't have a great game against *SAMford, it was enough. (That's Samford, a small Baptist college in Birmingham, certainly not Stanford).

                              4. Vandy. The Dores are a tough, gritty team. They will end up with more top 25 scalps on their wall than just K-State. Book it! (Nod to Talent).

                              5. LSU. Nadless at present. They were just prison-raped by MSU.

                              6. Florida. They are still not good, but they made some real improvements the last couple of weeks. And they beat Tennessee, which endears them to me.

                              7. Auburn. Stidham looks confused. Confused as in, "Why the fuck did I ever leave Baylor for this shithole?" Malzahn's last year unless Auburn beats Bama.

                              8. Tennessee. hahaha. Butch's last year unless the Vols beat Bama.

                              9. Kentucky. Nice win over SoCar on the road.

                              10. TAMU. This is Sumlin's last year unless he beats Bama.

                              11. SoCar. Being railed at home by Kentucky is no way to turn the corner, Coach Boom.

                              12. Arkansas. Dogshit.

                              13. OleMiss Dogshit.

                              34. Mizzou. Made Purdue look like the Patriots. We need to send this team back to the BigXII with a return to sender written on their little heads.

                              • Any program has the right to improve its circumstances-- I don't think anyone disagrees with that. But right now, it would appear that half the SEC might be in the market for a new football coach after this season, and I just don't see where the coaches who are obviously going to improve these programs are going to come from. For all their faults, Malzahn and Sumlin have beaten Saban before, and they have successfully recruited against him. You've got to find somebody that would do at least as well as that first, and right now, there's not a long list of top-tier candidates. There are a couple names I can think of, but if all of these schools make a move this year, at least one of them is going to end up making a hire they're less enthused about than they were about the coach they just let go.
