His name is mud. And he's really not getting credit for what he's done at Bama because of the "Bama is nothing but 5-stars" and the "sure, he won at Bama, but so did Nussmeier. Big deal."

lol....I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but I absolutely love the obsessed bitterness. It truly makes my day. If you could work in how Saban is vain into the next post, it would be much appreciated.

1. It's possible that you want to be your own boss so badly that you turn down premium OC jobs at LSU and other places to become a head coach again.
2. It's also possible that your former boss has had such fundamental disagreements with you that your 3-year contract was NOT renewed - which forced you to find some place else.

Well, there are some fundamental philosophical differences. And Saban is the boss, so you do it his way. Lane has been the boss before and desperately wanted to get back there (better to rule in hell).
Remember: your perceived skill as a coordinator at Bama is muted some because people discount it by saying, "Sure he did well at Bama. Look at that talent! I could coach them to 11-1!" And yes, being this good seems like cheating. Or wizardry. But it's just good, ole fashioned hard work and being at the right place. Harbaugh will be there, too.
