  • Kiffin should stay at Alabama. His ceiling is being a coordinator. He's crap as a head coach.

    • I think he has grown. His main issue was immaturity. He also took some rough gigs.

            • Oh jesus, DSL. You can't be serious. I have no issues with that.

It wasn't a troll at all. If it is, it's the mildest troll in history in that the extent of it is to note being awarded the gameball and the time and place you were once fired. That you get some measure of personal redemption for an absolutely shitty way to be fired is mild.

Hell, I would have openly taunted Pat Haden.

              • Uh-huh.

AA seems to be quite pleased at the idea of Lane leaving. Hmm.

                • Lane taunts Tennessee fans, throws his hat in the stands as if to say "here, you chumps. I can afford 100 more of these tomorrow. Maybe you can trade it for a sammich".

Mocking both World Hunger and Tennessee's barter economy.

                  • Uh-huh? What does that mean?

That you consider noting the time and place where you were fired (and fired in one of the least professional ways possible) as SERIOUS trolling is hilarious. The only way that Haden could have done a shittier job is if he had send a text to him instead of meeting him at 3am in a parking lot.

Yeah, I will miss Lane. He's done a great job.

Okay. That was funny. You had me there for a second.

                      • People who I knew who were douchebags 20 years ago, still are.

                        • If you are trying to be less of a DB, Saban is not your ideal mentor. The question though is not whether he is no longer a jerk. Plenty of successful coaches are narcissistic jerks, he just wasn't a good head coach.

                          • Lane isn't a douchebag. Neither is Saban. Lane was childish, and Saban is an asshole - but not near the asshole that most think he is. I spent my career with ego-driven high-achievers. I kinda am, too. Saban is kinda mild in comparison to many I knew and has definitely mellowed in his 10 years at Bama.

                            • As far as his head coaching ability, it was never X's and O's. It was people management (and, at USC, sanctions, to a degree, anyway). Getting the most out of those who work for you is definitely something that you learn.
