  • lose Irvin and Walton Jr. for sure.

I think Wagner returns. If he does that is a big time duo with him and DJ there.

    • Man that was a tough ending. Fun to watch Walton down the stretch this year. Disappointing because there was an opportunity to go much further.

      • Played like they were reading the praise. Couldn't afford to be lazy on those loose boards; couldn't afford those January-style defensive breakdowns. Without the blue-collar, there wasn't enough white-collar. Probably reasonable to figure energy was an issue. Certainly they were due for an off game.

Good season, in the end. Great to see Walton and Irvin go out with their heads held high. Now let's build on this.

        • Great game by Walton, Irvin, and Wilson
Really needed MAAR, Wagner, or Robinson to do anything.

But whatever... great season for this team.

            • Up by three I thought they were gonna end up stealing it and would then show up much more dialled in on Saturday. They played like they just weren't ready to go at it again so soon. Which you can hardly blame them for.

              • Could've, should've, Oregon got away with a lot of off the ball pushing, shoving. Nobody except Irvin really could get a bucket inside 16 ft.

                  • Musta been a tired-legs shot. Off the front of the rim.

                    • Had a time-out that went unused.

                      • I was wondering about that. Beilein knew Walton was running on fumes. Could have set something up. But that's hindsight.

Yes, but Oregon had two fouls to give. Might have been hard to get the ball in. I'm satisfied with the shot Walton got. Just didn't go in. Gotta box out on that missed free throw.

                          • That put-back opportunity was admittedly pretty damn bad. They just weren't ready to go today. Walton missed like a tired player misses.

                            • I think you need to give Oregon credit. They are a damn good team.
They played tough defense and never let M get into a rhythm on offense.

I think they were quicker than M and Beilien tried to counter that by giving up on the offensive boards and not letting them get transition baskets.

Walton had a good look for the game winner. The shot and Michigan just came up a bit short.

                              • Oh for sure. Good team. I don't think Oregon was the first team in two months to solve Michigan, though. We saw some repeats of January stuff. Horrible defensive breakdown on that 3 out of the timeout late in the second. Nobody hustling to get boards. Walton's shot off the front rim. Michigan doesn't have to make 3s to play much better and sharper than that. Like in the tourney against Purdue. Tons of credit to Oregion, but Michigan just wasn't sharp today.
