  • Jesus Wagner just plays dumb on D. Really need a coach who can teach him to avoid these stupid lean-in fouls. Real bailout there.

    • Well... nice win. I've never seen a M win at IU in bball.

HUGE game on ESPN Thursday night vs Wisconsin. Irvin better figure his shot out.
Prepare for the wrath of Ethan Happ.

      • Great, great win. Any in Assembly Hall is.

Walton's step-back from the elbow is a tough shot but he makes it often enough. Nice weapon to have in tight possessions.

          • A win at Wisconsin surely takes us off the bubble and we can start thinking about getting a decent seed, actually.

                It's a home game.

                • A good win puts the Wolverines at 16-9. Rutgers and Nebraska need to be wins even on the road. 18-9. If they can go 3-1 in the other four (Wisconsin, Purdue, @Minnym @NW). That would put them at 21-10 having won 9 of their last 12. I think then they are playing for seeding in the Big Ten Tourney. Get 2 wins there and probably looking at a 7-9 seed.

                  • Ugh, that schedule. 19-12 might be it.
Though I'll say M is playing really hard right now. Defensive effort has been there the last couple of games.

                    • Lots of tough games left that M needs to win.

                      • Sorry. Meant against. That would still be a heck of a win and put us into the seeding discussion rather than the bubble discussion. Am not expecting it though. Wisconsin just takes care of business.

                        • Michigan outplayed Wisconsin in their previous game this year, if I remember correctly. (We lost the game 68-64.)

I didn't watch the game today, as I find the officiating hard to stomach. We'll probably beat Wisconsin by 29 at home, as our game in Madison was quite similar to our game in E Lansing.

I was thinking that too. M beat IU once at Assembly Hall since 1996, before today.

                            • IF (and it is a big if) Michigan has bought into the defense that Dolan is teaching then this (still a flawed team) could make some noise down the stretch, into the Big Ten tourney and maybe the NCAAs

Good for M non-conference rating... so slightly
