Michigan working with CBs to be better in run support:
"When Michigan lost Jeremy Clark to a knee injury earlier this season, it lost its most effective run-supporting corner -- which could loom large in three weeks when the Wolverines visit Ohio State."
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

When all is said and done, Michigan football is in no different position than it was before the Iowa loss with some complicating factors and I'll get to that ......
If the top 4 CFP rankings that I hold to be accurate are actually chosen by the Committee on Tuesday night: (1) Alabama, (2) osu, (3), Louisville, (4) Michigan ...... then, for M to solidly hold on to one of those 4 spots, it has to win out. It had to win out anyway and before the Iowa loss.
If M had won in Iowa City, M and osu would likely be switched and the same outcome has to be achieved by M i.e., M has to win out. Nothing has changed with regard to M making the CFP.
Complicating factors:
(1) I suppose you could argue, based on the vagaries of the outcomes within the other P5 conferences and the myriad scenarios in the outcome of the B10 standings and B10 Chamiponhship game, that M had a better chance of getting one of the 4 CFP spots without the loss to Iowa, assuming it were to beat IU, osu and lose to whomever in the B10 Championsip game. I'll grant that. But that's done so, looking forward is the only way to go as I've outlined above.
(2) The seeding in the CFP, 1-4, will be important for M. I don't see #1 changing. I do see the other 3 spots still being up for grabs. The best spot for M, if it actually does grab one of the 4 spots is NOT #4.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

We looked at the factual evidence regarding Iowa and M and predicted a comfortable win for M. That didn't happen. That's why it was a prediction.
By the same logic, we can predict an osu win based on the factual evidence for the two teams but it is still a prediction that may not reflect the real outcome..... in fact I very much doubt it will either way.
That's because there is so much variance, events that preclude predictions, in sporting events and esp. in CFB games. I think we saw those in Spades in Iowa City. Who would have thought. In most sports books, M had a 90% chance of a win. Didn't happen. Variance.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off.
