Stan and I should compare notes. I attended my first UM game in 1939 in my Dad's M-Club seats. Section 2.
One of the best things about a Michigan Game Day is when Doc Hodgeman stops by the Dillon's tailgate, and starts telling us his experiences at Michigan Stadium. This man saw Tom Harmon play in person. He was present for some of the greatest games in Michigan football history.
If you ever get the chance to meet Doc Hodgeman, do yourself a favor, and ask him some questions about his experiences, then just let him talk. You'll not be sorry.
Among the incoming freshman football class at Michigan, no one has received more hype than defensive tackle Rashan Gary, the gem of the group and the nation’s top recruit.
Wow! Liney, you went overboard there, but thanks. As a kid I heard all kinds of stories about the Yost days from my parents. Both were UM graduates and sports fans. My Mom was captain of her UM field hockey team and my Dad played on the UM tennis team. And his Dad held a Big Ten record in UM track at the turn of the century.
Some of my treasured memories go back to the early 40's. We started playing ND in 1942 and beat them 32-20. People went crazy! In 1943 our program was decimated by the war but Crisler hung in there and by 1946 he sorted out tons of returning talent. We lost a close one to army early in the season but pulled off one of the greatest triumphs in the pantheon of UM lore when we destroyed OSU 58-6!
Crisler was a brilliant coach and innovator. He and Bo are up there with Yost, a position soon to be joined by HARBAUGH!!
The Nike explosion is happening at midnight and it sounds like State Street is shut down right now. Harbaugh spoke to the crowd, Desmond is there, Jimmy King is there, LaMaar Woodley is there, along with many current football, basketball, women's basketball, etc. players.
Regrettable font for that #2. Should keep the middle of it horizontal. I first noticed the difference between using a diagonal and a horizonal line on Michael Jordan's Bulls jersey. Hence the irrational hatred for the diagonal option.
I think I like it better, the Detroit Lions changed the 2 font on their jerseys the same way few years back. Don't like two jumpmans though, one one the pants (or jersey) is enough, no need for both. Along with the Block M and Big Ten logo. Those mock jerseys don't have the TV numbers either on the sleeves.
I wonder how much that guy spent on the paint job for that truck and now it's the wrong color of maize.
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
