Yeah, I saw that. It's what I meant by 'corporate tie-ins'.

It still strikes me as odd considering Jordan played for UNC and in a completely different sport.


But an honorary captain that is more of a marketing ploy is fine with me. If M faithful are happy with it, then good for all parties concerned, I suppose.

I've never liked Jordan, and I wouldn't walk across the street to see him.

Michigan's athletic department decided to go with the "Jumpman" line with Nike, and that's fine. But, Jordan is no attraction, as far as I'm concerned.
