Lol I wish that was true for me.
Last year I started betting for the first (and only) time by just seeing what I could do with $300.
I turned $300 into $780 within two weeks from baseball, NFL preseason, and maybe something else.
The first college weekend came around and I lost everything... A dumb thing.

    - Stanford at NW. Of the 5 I bet on last year, I actually got this right by taking NW.
    - UNC vs South Carolina, pick UNC +3... Marqise Williams turns the ball over like five times in the red zone as terrible South Carolina wins 17-13.
    - Michigan vs Utah, pick Michigan +5 or +4 (can't remember) ... We have been hyping Harbough all off season, he can't lose to Utah. Michigan loses 17-24
    - Texas at ND, pick Texas +10. This one I'm most upset with. Didn't think Charlie Strong would get blown out to start the season. ND wins like 38-0.
    - Purdue at Marshall. Purdue +7. Surely my Purdue won't lose to Marshall by more than 7. Purdue was winning by 4 with 3 minutes left, gave up two TDs to end the game.

My point: I took f***ing terrible picks in college football to blow away everything earned from baseball and NFL Preseason.

    • UT vs ND - gag - 2 teams I can't stand. Wish the game would have ended 0-0 with both teams given a loss. No way I'd wager on that contest as that would have forced me to pull for one of them.

Eddie McDoom NEEDS to be a player. That name cannot sit on the bench. It's too good. It would only be better if he were a linebacker.

        • His last name is McDoom.
Eddie McDoom also needs to be great player just to hear announcers say his name a lot.

Season ticket sales continue to be robust, passing last year's level. Also, a new weight room is in the offing ...

              • On the not very surprised front, Ahmir Mitchell is apparently leaving Michigan.

                • I remember back when OSU was deciding whether to "OFFER" Ahmir Mitchell. So glad they had Austin Mack as the top WR on their board.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                  Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

                  • M signed 3 WR's higher than Mitchell, Mitchell was slated to play safety.

                    • Safety is really thin now. Will almost certainly be playing some true freshmen there next year.

                      • In '17 the returning DB's will be:

Jr: Brandon Watson (CB) and Tyree Kinnel (FS)
                        So: Keith Washington (CB)
So/rsFr: David Long (CB), Lavert Hill (CB), Khaleke Hudson (SS), & Josh Metellus (S)
tFr: Benjamin St. Juste (CB) & J'Marick Woods (S) + potentially Ambry Thomas, Jaylen Kelly-Powell

Almost no returning experience at a position where experience is a great thing. The '17 class will certainly play right away as true freshman if they can.

                        • Just looked our schedule for next year. We have to play Air Force. God I fucking hate playing Air Force. Our other OOC game besides Florida is Cincinnati. They can be a major pain in the ass.

2017 could be a seriously not fun year.

                          • Purdue, Minnesota, Wisconsin out-of-division. '17 M will be too young and relying on too many 1st & 2nd year players at too many critical positions.

                            • I don't know if this appeared elsewhere, but apparently Amir Mitchell is throwing in the towel at Michigan, and moving on.

If what I've heard is true, he has nobody to blame but himself. He had to know he'd be subjected to random drug testing, .. and the tests they use today can catch weed usage from months back. And, going to college means going to class and getting passing grades. Just because you enroll early doesn't mean its going to be easier. And its not like he was taking Pre Med classes...
